National Service Dogs AGM
The National Service Dog Training Centre Inc. (NSD) held its Annual General Meeting on June 16th at its office on Cedar Creek Road. Interested community members were invited to attend. Last year, NSD placed 21 Autism Service Dogs and 6 companion dogs with children across Canada, as well as provided follow-up support to over 100 graduates. Their Annual Easter Egg Hunt had a record breaking year, and they also launched an exciting and highly successful “Mantracking” event which will continue this fall. Upcoming events for 2010 include: Ride for Autism Dogs on July 18; NSD Open House on August 29; Mantracking in the fall, date to be determined; Bring Your Dog to the Stadium on October 2 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
